![]() Drug Policy Forum of Florida | National/International Organizations
Dateline: Melbourne, FL March 23, 2000 The Journey for Justice begins. For several days, people all over the country have worked day and night on the final preparations. Our web masters and the Cannabis News Service have slaved to keep the information current and available. We send them are gratitude. The journey has not been without tears, we have struggled, fought (just a little) mended old fences and built some bridges and the journey has not yet begun. From Coast to Coast, and Canada (Marc Emery, and Cannabis Culture) the people have made this journey possible. Just today, Drug Policy Foundation and NORML Foundation offered their assistance for the care of the patients involved. We will be making training manuals available after the journey courtesy of the Drug Policy Foundation, after all, we are all journeying for justice, aren't we? We thank all of you that have given to this effort. We are still short on the budget, but we believe that the people we meet will our needs just as they already have. The patients are already at the prison in Starke and we leave in a few moments. If you are not already recieving mail from Kay Lee, you may join her list at journey@vitel.tzo.com, she will be posting daily, but don't look for a response until April 2 or 3. Thank you all for the love and support you have shown us already. Please join us for a day or an hour as we make our way across the state. Remember to let everyone you know be aware we need their physical presence in Tallahassee on March 30, 2000 at noon on the Capitol Lawn, if you can hear our cry in your heart, bring everyone you know and join our march.
